How can physical therapy help?
Physical therapy is a non-invasive way to manage TMD symptoms and improve overall jaw function. Your physical therapist will work with you to develop a customized plan that may include a combination of manual therapy, exercises to improve jaw range of motion and strength, and education on lifestyle changes that can help prevent TMD symptoms from returning.

What to expect:
During your first visit, an evaluation will be conducted to determine the cause of your TMD symptoms. This may include examining your posture, assessing the range of motion in your neck and shoulders, and testing your jaw strength and mobility. From there, a personalized treatment plan will be created unique to each patient. LMC Physical Therapy is proud to feature therapists who received training from Mike Karegeannes, PT, MHSc, LAT, MTC, CFC, CCTT, CMTPT in the evaluation and treatment of TMD.
